Mr. Hawxhurst is a former laboratory owner and is currently a Field Technical Specialist for Ivoclar Vivadent. He is also a faculty member at the Midwest Institute of CadCam Dentistry. Prior to Ivoclar Vivadent Kennedy was Senior Ceramist and Technical Director at Tanaka Dental Lab and a faculty member at the Tanaka Institute. He also served as an instructor in fixed and Graduate Prosthodontics at Northwestern University Dental School. Kennedy has been with Ivoclar Vivadent for 15 years and has lectured in Europe and throughout North America to dentists and laboratories.

This course will update basic removable procedures, clinical concepts, and materials as well as more advanced techniques. Emphasis will be placed on edentulous anatomy, simplified impression procedures for complete and partial dentures, posterior denture occlusion, and the development of skills of communication between the clinician and the laboratory technician. Learn about techniques which can greatly improve the predictability of the final prosthesis. See how denture processing systems differ and how important they can be to the health of the oral tissues.
Jay A. Sober has been a dental technician for twenty-eight years and a CDT since 1993. Since the early 80s he has worked with diverse labs in different capacities including as the director of education for a sizable organization in upstate New York. In addition to this, Jay has also been published in several dental trade magazines and lectured on various approaches to dental technology. Jay is currently employed with Ivoclar Vivadent as the Central Regional Field Technical Specialist in Removable Dentistry.

Dr. Poss graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1983.
Dr. Poss has directed numerous live patient continuums at various teaching institutes including the Clinical Director of both the Anterior and Posterior continuums at the Las Vegas Institute from 1997 – 2004. Dr. Poss lectures internationally on esthetic dentistry and TMD. He is an active consultant to several dental manufacturers in the area of new product development and refinement. He has had numerous articles published in most of the leading dental journals. Dr. Poss maintains a cosmetic oriented restorative practice located in Brentwood, Tennessee.
